Asking questions is natural and intuitive. Teachers ask questions from the start of a lesson until the end. This session will focus on the purpose of using higher order questions in the classroom. Teachers will differentiate between higher order questions and essential questions. Additionally, teachers will identify scaffolding techniques and develop at least two examples of how to use higher order questions in their content areas. Attendees should bring examples of current questions used to stimulate learning. This session is a repeat.
