This session will provide a basic understanding of theories used to evaluate behaviors observed in the classroom and beyond. Theories discussed will be: Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Adlerian, and Internal Family Systems with an emphasis on Trauma Informed Care (TIC). TIC is an approach aimed at understanding the impact the symptoms of trauma have on learning. The goal of this session is to assist staff in developing responses to the acting out behaviors we observe in the classroom while also practicing self-care. This session is a repeat.
